LNF Rear Hub Information

LNF Rear Hub Information
Facebook wouldn't need this information and it would be lost in a few hours.
OEM LNF Hub part number is 15798483. That part is now discontinued (even called local dealership, they can't get it). I previously tried to use the RockAuto catalog to find a replacement, assuming no differences with LNF and base model/SC/2.4 rear hubs. Wrong. Bought Timken HA590088 as the catalog only had that for Timken rear hubs (I have Timken front hubs already, and they were cheapest non-economy brand). They sent the traction control, ESC, and ABS lights off and went haywire. Plugged in a more advanced OBD2 tool, rear hubs were consistently reading a bit (5+ mph) lower than the fronts. Great... Returned them for full refund and put the OEM ones back on.
Fast forward to last week I've been hearing squeaking. Rear hubs probably about done, as I just replaced rear pads and rotors. Figured at 130k it's probably about time hubs got swapped for good. Did more research, found the OEM part number 15798483 cross referenced on Timken's website to HA590080. That bearing was not listed under Cobalts at all, had to manually search on RockAuto. Amazon said it didn't fit my 2009 Cobalt SS. I used to own a Malibu, so I looked up the Malibu rear hubs, and voila. OEM LNF rear hubs are just Malibu rear hubs. Makes sense. So if you want to buy non-OEM LNF hubs, DON'T LISTEN TO FITMENT CATALOGS. Make SURE they fit GM 15798483, and/or 2005-2010 Chevrolet Malibu with ABS.
TLDR; OEM LNF rear hubs are discontinued, P/N 15798483 cross references to Timken HA590080. If you want more brand choices, look up rear hubs for 2005-2010 Chevrolet Malibu with ABS.
I am planning to swap the hubs this week and will update if they kick off the ESC/TC/ABS lights. My guess is they won't, I hope.

Just an update for everyone lurking, the Timken HA590080 worked without setting off abs and esc. They plug and play right into LNF rear.
I took a second and looked at my old bearings; they had 0 play whatsoever but one bearing was making audible noise when I turned it. They were much looser than the new ones too from wear (easier to spin). Definitely needed it done.
