at full throttle it does not control the launch... you still still be spinning...
we have launch control too... they both work very similiar (zl1 launch is set at 4k rpms) and they both suck..
even at my launch control i feather the throttle... depends if i spin or not which is wierd because sometimes i spin... other times i dont. haha

Hmm.. honestly don't remember all but I do recall a Shelby SuperSnake I was up against haha Of course that was a wash, but I was hoping it was fake :P Unfortunately not, it had slicks, pulled a 1.6 60' and trapped 11.8@124mph
Most stuff I'm up against are either SRT-4's or Cobalt SS's, or something similar. They generally try to match you up against something close to your level. I lost to an Evo who launched like a ****, but I reeled him all the way in up until the end.. beat me by a couple thousandths and he was in the high 12's. Have run some Mustang's and a couple trucks here n there, but like I said, most are around my class or level; minus that SuperSnake, which I must admit, gave me a woody Last time I went, I was getting pwned off the line on every race, but reeling everybody in afterwards.. winning some, losing some and usually not by much either way. Raced a pair of Camaro SS's also.. beat 1, lost to the other.. they had almost identical times but as usual, my traction issues did me in. Too lazy to rotate the tires, my fronts are below 50% now so the first 60' are a wash now. 2.25 at best.
I might go again this friday and try again.. IF I have the time off that I requested. If so, I'll keep track of it all, n post a slip somewhere.. maybe if somebody comes along and does videos

Last year I ran consistent 13.2 - 13.3 @ 110 but now I'm armed with a ZZP head w/cams.. I haven't figured out the powerband yet, but it looks to be below 6500 rpm powerwise. I ran 13.7@110 3x in a row shifting at 6700-6900, so I backed it down on the last pass and got 13.4@111.. too bad the night ended.. I was still shifting at 6500ish on the pass so I may hafta drop it down to 6200 or 6300 for good times and try NLS'ing again It was a busy night... I'd say over 100 cars running so only got 4 or 5 passes in over a period of 5-6 hours. And I am going this Friday night as well.. got it off. Might hafta borrow somebody's tires to get 12's haha. We'll see.. I know the car has it in it if it can pull an LS3 Vette on the highway.

I have no doubt from 40, a full bolt-on 23 psi Cobalt with a good tune would give me a run right now, I used to own one... however, from a dig... I'd gladly take that race right now, if the Cobalt wants DRs, let me have them as well
and my car isn't close to a ZL1

how much we talking? we got a dry shot in the closest waiting to be installed... i'm going to go ahead and change the pistons and the rings to ones more suitable to hold nitrous for a while... but the stock ones will hold it, and easily on a 100 shot... but i'm looking at jetting it 150 when I do install it, just want that added insurance
Cobalts aren't the only one who utilize forced induction
I mention bolt-on turbo Cobalts, I doubt your car is stock cams and is probably on slicks being its a blower car...
I tell you what, you get off the slicks and i'll forget the nitrous, I'd line up radial for radial with you right now...with 2 mods and a tune, stock air box
