Need a clutch
Gotta get a flywheel with those or will mine be ok to be turned and shimmed if there isnt too much heat damage? What kind of prices are we looking at? As is I can't even drive my car. The clutch is totally gone.
So, any of you guys know where I can find a flywheel JUST in case I cracked it? Dealership lists it for 860$ and none of the local parts stores, napa, carquest, autozone, oreilly even lists them. I've found the lightweight aluminum ones online for around 400$
No way you cracked the FW.
No that is not the correct part number for the 2+ it is the normal/plain 2...
SPEC states... Real life is much less IMO. That is why members should only get a "+" series, less clutch chatter and much more holding power.

Well... Sigh... GM put a brand new trans in it a month ago. Put about 3-400 miles on it and it started smoking on downshifts slightly.... Then it stoped smoking. Took it to the track and blew it up. The guys at the track asked me if I was burning my tires out at the end of the track. YAY me
Popped the hood at the track and wires were unhooked, harness flopping around, they didnt bolt the fuse box back in and they broke some of the clips in it.

ya i broke my fw, they day i got my car it was slipping so bad you could barely drive it, like the rpm would bounce up and down like crazyyy...so i took it to dealer and they replaced everything under warranty..Thank god for the warranty because it wouldn't of been cheap lol.
Anyone know anything about Clutchmasters? Clutchmasters Stage 4 clutch 08+ Chevrolet Cobalt SS - 08+ Chevrolet Cobalt SS Turbo Drivetrain Parts, Clutches, Axles, Short Throw Shi
He needs at least a SPEC Stage 2+, the Stage 2 will slip. 2+ is rated 437 ft/lbs tq. Stage 2 is less.
OP - I have my used stock setup if you want it, pm me an offer. 20k highway miles but slipped on WOT since tuned for me.
