well i went to ccss3 and on the way there my car started acting funny and would sputter when you gave it any fuel....it sounded like a subi ever since i let that shop put new lash adjusters in after an ex friend made it see 11k rpm by shifting to 2nd instead of 4th at 6500rpm (YEA I KNOW....WHY DID I LET HIM DRIVE IT) and since he wouldnt pay for the work you know why he is an ex friend......but anyhow that shop swore it was fine and everything checked out lol but it must have dropped compression over time and eventually went dead!

got to ccss3's place and told him so he instantly did a compression check and cyl 4 was DOA lol but taking it back to stock for gm to fix it is not on my mind right now id rather build the motor stronger than stock.

 

how do you mistake 2nd for 4th? lol fail

 

thats what i said lol and the real reason i even let him drive was cuz i rode in his evo a million times and he could drive that thing to death....but long story short im lookin at 1300 bucks in internals and a 1200 bnr turbo guess its just a good excuse to build my car and join the 400bhp club with a reliable car

 

oh gosh why'd i read this.

occasionally my car falls on it's face. it will be fine and i'll jump on it and soon as it gets into boost it jerks bad and the RPMs drop and the CEL will kick on.

happens once amonth or so, and the CEL clears itself and it runs just fine the next day or 2. just happened again recently but the CEL didn't clear itself, was off for 2 days so i didn't drive it, CEL still on but the car drives just fine even railing on it...so i dunno, intermittent issue that is annoying as hell.

 

sounds like a horror story to me. lol
