Well would I fix my constant repair problem with my camaro? I gotta replace the driver side window motor now. The only one that looks appealing is the WRX. I wanna try to keep it under 20 grand with the warranty. Cant be much more insurance costs either. Thats why I was saying the SS looks so good. 0% interest and I can probably get it under 20 grand. Not to mention brand new and I have warranties to back those up. And its a sick car. Before my Camaro I came from a Honda Prelude Type SH. I loved that damn thing.

I tried the aftermarket HID, too much glare, and highbeams were still a joke. Smartdude24 is almost done with my FX/E55 projector retrofit, hopefully that does the trick.
aftermarked hid kits without projecters are uslesss..

I have no problem with the cobalt headlights.... mind you I can't see anything with my civic's headlights lol.....

yes, you will fix the constant repair problem, to a certain extent, all the technology in all the cobalts has been out for at least a couple years now, so bugs have been worked out and the car is in it's prime, not to mention the platform has been out for 6 years. The warranties are nice, too, and with the new LNF, all you really need to get serious power is get trifecta to tune it, and when you tune through trifecta, you get your original tune as long as you buy a cable, meaning you can always just reflash your ECU to put it back to stock in a couple minutes when you have a warranty issue. but things always happen, some cars go 350,000 miles without a hitch, some are certifiable lemons, it's still luck of the draw to a certain extent.

people complain about the ion's headlights, too, but mine work great, what it usually is is people have them aimed incorrectly, I drove a rental cobalt twice, one I had to drive at night and the headlights sucked royally until I took the 2 minutes to adjust thm, then they were fine.

I guess I don’t understand how anyone can say that the headlights on the ‘Balt suck. They work awesome (especially the high beams). They spread really wide and cover each ditch on each side of the road completely and go pretty far as well. It’s actually one of the things that I noticed right away when I got my car.

The tune will not really void the warrenty. Thats a hard question to answer. It depends on the Dealer to be honest. but i doubt anything breaks under the tune. its really conservative. The clutch is the only thing holding the car back from bigger numbers.

If you want you can wait on the stage kit....that will still keep the warrenty and it will be offical.
hahah Wont really void your warranty???

If you have any type of powertrain failure with an aftermarket tune ....kiss the PT warranty good bye. Dealer honesty or not , if you pop a motor a district service manager will most likely get involved .

It takes 5 minutes to find a tune , GM put a TSB out in december giving them a step by step on how to do it.... and techs or service managers WILL do it so they aren't stuck on warranty work that pays less than a non warranty job.

Who has the most miles on an aftermarket SS/TC tune?? Who knows how a tuned car will be at 50 60 70K miles.

Moral of the story is..... if your worried about your warranty don't screw with it.

Obviously MAZDABOI needs to realize Chevrolet ( GM ) isn't a ******* Mazda or Honda and offers a 100,000 mile powertrain warranty unlike most ... Wow people are so funny ...
\

Dont Listen to these R- Tards

You can get a second ECU for around 200 shipped and a custom tune for 250 that will put you at 300HP 340 trq ..

Without voiding the warranty. Don't trust the information you get from these tools it's mostly made up BS...

Allthought we do have a few members who aren't complete idiots and actually have some good information to share ...

that's the nice thing about HPtuners or trifecta, even if the engine is fried, you or your dealer can reflash your stock tune and still claim your warranty with no trace of the modded tune

Besides what has already been stated...the only thing that bothers me is the torque management in the car. I know it helps for traction but if im not at the track i'd love to just blow the tires off from a slow roll like it would without the TM. To me it makes the car feel lazy until 3rd gear.

Yep. In first it applies 50% avaliable torque in second in applies 66% avaliable torque stock. You can easily remove that through tuning but, like me, you will get very little traction in first or second once you do that.
