So I just swapped out my transmission in my lnf to 4.05 trans. I also replaced shifter cables and clutch. My problem is I can only shift into first and second if I engage the reverse lockout. Won't go in without it and won't shift into fifth. . Can you put the shifter cables on backwards?

 

If I disengage the side to side shifter cable it goes in every gear fine without reverse lockout

 

Sounds like the new cables need to be adjusted.

 

Exactly right ECaulk. I adjusted the left to right shifter cable by the shifter & now works flawlessly. Thanks!
