So, Somebody said there is a special tool that I can use to remove these lines. I don't wanna screw **** up but I wanna take the valve cover off to paint it or polish it.

 

Which lines are you referring to?

 

I was using the correct torx driver and somehow stripped 1 of my valve cover bolts.... complete b.s I really want to find replacement non torx for it so I can get in and out quick and not worry about stripping. There is no special tool! I just unbolted the rear metal tube and cut the other holder. only sockets.

 

I am talking about the braided steel lines that run from the vc to the turbo and from the vc to the intake on the lnf vc.

Just looked, I'm not sure how to get the actual metal tubes out of the valvecover, but to get the line off the intake its just that little white insert has to unclip from the black one, the end that connects to the turbo is just a 10mm hex.

 

its at the autopart store its called a quick disconnect remover .... the braided lines have 4 clips in there and you just take this plastic peice and stick it in the and it pushes those clips off...you can still use the line after you take it off

You aren't gonna get the one that goes to the turbo off the valve cover. Just take it off the turbo.
