Tpms sensor learn

I have an 08 ss turbo with aftermarket wheels and brand new tpms sensors, I can find how to program the sensors online but following the steps I still can’t even get into the tpms learn mode to start the process. Holding down the info and enter button brings me to the different menu with “oil life reset” and so on, but no tpms learn like there should be? Anyone know?

Be careful also, I have had weird door locking events at times when resetting the TPS, either with the tool or keyfob methods. Locked myself out on 2 occasions ( thought first time was a fluke. Nope did it again ). Keep a window down when doing the reset.

I could be mistaken, but I thought that the instructions in that link are for TPMS's that the car is already looking for;
EG: the sensor formerly front/left is now rear/left ect.
I can say from experience that Dodge used on the C-SRT4 auto-learning TPMS, but we need to have the vehicle put into programming mode for new TPMS.

I bought a used Kent-Moore TPMS tool shortly after buying my car - and I use it every time I change from summer wheels to summer wheels.
Since this is now older-tech, you can buy an aftermarket version of my Kent-Moore tool quite cheaply now.
