1/2 E85 1/2 93 Octane
1/2 E85 1/2 93 Octane
I am going to be doing a 1/2 E 85 tune and a half 93 octane tune today. Is there anything I need to know about the injector duty cycle and the pressure rail or will the car not need any adjustments.
The car made 315 WHP before hoping for 340 WHP on 20lbs of boost.
The injector duty cycle should be fine for that correct?

A 50-50 blend should be ok with stock fuel pump and injectors at your power levels. Obviously, you need a proper tune for the ethanol blend. Just make sure the tuner knows what he's doing.
As of right now the car is throwing a fuel pressure code but my tuner says the fuel is there. We are going to turn it off and see if it pops up again. If it does how would we up the fuel pressure nothing is allowing him to do that with hptuners.
If you are already popping the Fuel Rail Pressure CEL, it's gonna get a lot worse on the 1:1 blend. You need ~14% more fuel for it. You have an issue somewhere if you are getting low fuel pressure at that horsepower level.
Look for a restriction in the line going into the HP Fuel Pump.
Personally I wouldn't disable the Low Fuel Pressure CEL & Reduced Eng Pwr.
Currently Trifecta is the tune that can raise the fuel rail pressure setpoint.

You need to be running hte Trifecta base and hp overlay... just as Iam Broke said. HP can only get you so far.
I got this code a few times before I melted a piston. My rail popped on CYL one, and was leaking.... I gave it part throttle one day and nuked my engine.
The car ended up making 328 WHP. I picked up 13 WHP from the E85.
We had to replace the plugs and gap them to .29, but before that the car was just not making power and not running well on the E85. After the plugs went in the car started to run a lot better.
I hope the fuel pressure issue was related to the plugs but we will see in the next few weeks.
I guess the code that I should be looking for is a P0087 my tuner didn't tell me the exact code #.
Thanks man.
If you are getting a low rail pressure code on gas do not do a ethanol blend you WILL pop a piston due to fuel starvation.
