but mph is an indicator of hp, and not of driving experience, right,

et would be an indicator of lack of traction/driving exp, or both.

great times,

I was just saying hahn's car without a dp or IC upgrade was moving a bit faster at the 1/8 mile, and not on stock tires either.

but none the less, some good top end, especially for the 2nd time out racing!

not necessarily. you aren't going to trap as high if you can't shift as quickly or at ideal shift points. a better launch doesn't ALWAYS mean lower trap either.

lots of time practicing is your best friend, my best run on my first night at the track was 14.4 with a shitty launch cause it was get down towards near freezing temps.

Reaction times have NOTHING to do with your 60' or quarter mile at all..... He needs DR's..... I was there....A cold track at night ='s bad grip.... the AM sun (930-11 am) would warm the track surface enough to cut his 13.5 to a 13 or 12.9 alone.... It's also, LIKE HE SAID... his second time at the track and he's learning to understand the car\powerband more......

I'm waiting for someone with a TC to use the 4500 rpm launch dump<<< from a tune with drs or slicks w\grip, I'll bet 1.8 60's..... on a WARM TRACK....

a little low

about what hahn was running with his 107 mph pass.

but then again he was running sticky tires, but he had no IC upgrade or DP
DP and IC will give maybe 17-19 whp, enough to see nearly 109mph... We were spinning our tires nearly through the 1/8th.. I've the same bolt-on mods without CAI and mtr mts, I was squealing tires in all of second and most of third..... Track was just too cold!!!! A warm track in warmer temps 55-65*..... would make a huge difference.. I ran a 13.6 at 107mph in 100 degree air at 10 pm at a track alt of 1200 ft ( Firebird in Phx) and a DA of 4400' due to humidity in the 60% range and dew points in the mid 50 degree range.

i havent raced alot but a front wheel line lock that has a button that has to be held down to enable, so when released it shuts off and goes to normal brake sounds like it would be helpfull for us to spool the turbo without doing a tripple pedal.

does that sound good or am i just a stupid tard?

then you'd have to hold the clutch pedal in anyway or you would ROAST your clutch and stall.

Seeing these traps and dyno numbers always makes me want to take a road trip down to the infamous psykostevo, haha.

To the OP, don't worry about this run, really. Next time you're out, I bet you'll cut 2.2's in the 60'. You'll do better each time. If you don't, I'll hold your family hostage and not even Harrison Ford will be able to save them. ;p

what do you mean? what are you running. Two similarly setup cars will almost always have a close trap speed, but just beceause a car traps one speed doesnt mean it can't trap significantly more at the same power level.

well no offense but your 60' is horrid. generally more spinning off the line will lead to a higher trap speed, but a lower E.T. but i like i said this isn't always the case. If you spin enough or at the right times, or if you are geared a certain way, spinning may not effect the trap speed or even make it lower. In your case it probably kept it about what it would ahve been with like....a 2.0-2.1 60'. it might actually be higher with one of those 60's depending on how you drove.
