I find that when the wife and I are driving on the scenic route any where, she is always telling me to look at this or that or she's pointing to something that I can't look at. The scenic route works for her as the passenger, not so much for me as the driver.

Quite the comedy sketch.
"Look over there!"
"Sure!"

That's the opposite of how my ex-wife was. We're taking the scenic route and I'm enamored with everything that I can see out the windshield and saying "oooh" and "aaah"... and she's sleeping/reading a book/playing on her phone.

Definitely a contributing factor to the demise of the relationship.

Alright, my first issue finally popped up with this thing. 2 issues actually. Been 5000 trouble free miles since the engine build. It is throwing a lean at idle code. Clear it and it comes back in 20 or so miles. Also, not getting over 15 psi of boost when it used to hit 22-23. Not sure if these 2 issues are tied together. We will find out tonight when I dig into it and review some logs. All this seemed to start after blowing the charge pipe off the turbo but I dont see how that would change anything.

My initial thoughts are

- o2 sensor on its way out
- DI pump going out
- Boost leak

Possibly 02 related, but I wonder if when you blew the charge pipe if it caused something else to leak.

I highly doubt that the pipe blowing off caused anything odd to happen but anything is possible. I popped the hood and gave it a quick lookover and didnt see anything odd. All the lines are connected like they should be.

Very odd. Maybe when I find the source of my problem, it may help solve yours too. You throwing a code?

I need to make a new adapter. The one I have for my Evo is too big for the Cobalts turbo.

You see, the way Cobalts work, is something minor happens, and then something completely unrelated will fail at exactly the same time.

I had the coupler blow off the turbo outlet. Put it back on... car ran terrible. Turns out the MAF had failed at the same time. These cars are funny like that.

yes it does. It’s just how they are. They always have little issues that make no sense.
