Yup! Our cars have an oil temp sensor, but NOT an oil pressure sensor - go figure. We even have an EGT sensor (that can be read by the interceptor)! I wonder why GM didn't put in one more sensor...

huh? What are you talking about? Theres nothing yo have to locate with the Interceptor - just run the cables behind the dash and plug it into the obd2 port, thats it.

Im confused because Im sure they made this product to work with a catalytic converter. Im pretty sure that would be there test vehicle. I think he was saying that you wont find the oil temp parameter with the interceptor if you bought a "catted" downpipe...which is confusing cause the stock dp has two cats...

Maybe he meant you need a bung for the sensor on the dp, and if you bought a catted one you wont find the bung to insert the sensor...which would be retarded cause we dont need that and its completely irrelevant.

I'm thinking that they didn't put an oil pressure sensor on the car since it wouldn't read true oil pressure. Regulated oil pressure is important on a turbo engine as to not overpressure and have oil seep past the bearing/seals in the turbo but also enough to keep it properly lubricated when cold vs hot. Since this is probably being regulated by the engine it would be pointless to have an oil pressure sensor because it would never read an unregulated oil pressure.

If the pressure drops too low or the quantity in the engine drops too low, the oil dummy light will come on, but I agree that it'd be nice to know before you're to that point.

Throwing that out there.
