Almost got the head loose!

Ok so i spent all day yesterday taking out the complete turbo system and getting the head off the car. I'm down to unbolting the head and pulling it. The intake and exhaust r still attached but I figure it will give me a better handle on removing the head. Only reason I stopped last night is there is one torx or Allen bolt bolt on the block that you takeout to remove the top bolt in the intake side cam chain guide and I didn't have the correct size torx bit. Anyone know what size it is? I'm thinking at least a 60 or 65

Unless you take out the chain guides you wont be able to get the head off. Or unbolt the engine mount, and front tranny mount and use a jack to lower the front of the motor. I am not sure what torx bit you are talking about. There are four reverse torx on the timing side and ten head bolts. There is a support bracket that runs from the motor to the intake mani, but thats a 13 mm bolt. You have a pic?

Even if I had a pic I couldn't post it photo bucket went fubar on me last week and I still can't upload. All I was needing was the access port Allen size so I can remove the chain guide bolt at the top and move it to get to the last hex bolt like you we're talking about and thanks for the info on the bracket runnin to the block

Nice now I'm gonna go to Walmart since they are the only place open this late on Sunday and attempt to find an e10 Allen or at least a torx that will fit it

everything looks decent but the 4th cylinder is glazed over bad, the head doesnt look like a valve is warped but im not the expert and the other cylinders look good and still have a decent cross hatch for 18k miles so i figured maybe serious ring failure is the culprit of no compression....and by the way cmiller i found another way to upload pics!
