Blow Off Valves: Everything You Need To Know
#51
Look into the synchronic Synaps, i just recieved it and not only does it sound awesome but all the research i did tells me it is one of the most reliable, warning not for the weak pockets, and it is pretty big (9 inches long) but the piston style is very efficient and reliable.

the word ricer is mostly hondas and any N/A JDM car. with a cann as an exhaust that has a high pitch sound! . any turbo car is NOT a ricer, its considered a high performance car!! last time i checked ricers dont have BOVs, BPVs or DVs!!!

well check again because the word "ricer" can be associated with ANY car, no matter what the make, model, turbo, supercharged, or n/a. in a matter of fact.... the word "ricer" is an act, for example: a TURBO civic/srt4/cavalier/minivan with a BOV keeps revving up and letting his BOV scream off while you're driving down the road, trying to get your to street race because according to F&F, it's the cool thing to do. what that TURBO vehicle with the BOV is doing is considered "ricer activities." having obscene decals going down the side of your car, underglow lights, massive unneeded wings..... ricer. you say "any turbo car is NOT a ricer"....... so 90% of the vehicles in the F&F series aren't ricer, like at all. you smoke crack kid.
there are a lot of ricers on this forum.
and just so you know, most turbo cars aren't "high performance cars"

adding a VTA BOV to the stock LNF setup is absolutely pointless, you're only doing it to add NOISE when you let off of the gas. the stock BPV setup is more than sufficient for the stock turbo, no matter how hard you push it.
listen, i'm not totally against VTA BOVs, i'm just saying that for the stock LNF turbo setup the stock BPV is perfectly fine, so save your money & time.

A ricer is not a type of car, its the type of person that does ******* retarded things to a car to act/look/sound what they think is "cool"
Which typically is not.
There is really zero need for a VTA BOV on a stock turbo cobalt ss turbocharge. Unless you want the PSSSSSH OR QUAAAAK OR POOOP sound associated with it.
If you want to spend over 200 dollars to get that sound, and zero performance. give-er

it's over $200 for just the VTA BOV (for a good one). then you need to buy the block off plate, get a cold side charge pipe with the MAF relocation setup, hot side charge pipe with the proper flange on it, then you HAVE to get tuned for the entire thing. so to do a VTA BOV properly, you're looking at almost $1000.

Hay just because u guys don't like bov's u don't need to bash. I love letting off next to people and seeing em wipe around to see what it is. Besides what if he swaps turbos? Then he's already got the bov in place.

Ill state again
On a stock turbo, there is zero need for a vta bov, except to get a Pshh Quaak or Whistle sound.

the OP is a friend of mine, i'm giving him my opinion on what's best for the stock LNF setup. he can take it or leave it.
he's recent rode in my vehicle and heard just how loud the stock BPV can get, he thought i had a VTA BOV on it, i lol'd.
