Ok..sorry bout that. Shoulda looked a bit closer at this thread.
Wasn't trying to *stir the pot* here as some have suggested.

It's gonna hang lower than stock. Could ya please take a pick when it's installed, so we can confirm if that's the case?

Does look nice.
Thanks...

For some reason I was thinking he ment shorter on the length of the intercooler, doh.

It does hang lower than the stock unit. I will take a few pics and post them alittle later.

Since I'm not lowered, that little bit isn't going to hurt in my app. The ZZP IC is still my choice this spring.

With the weather the way it is in the mid atlantic states my dyno appointment tomorrow is canceled. I did a 60-100 hit last night and the butt dyno actually felt a noticeable gain with the ZZP combo.

This thread made me not want to buy boost pipes with my stock intercooler. I will leave the stock boost pipes, along with the stock intercooler for now. When one or other goes, I will replace the pipes and intercooler with one of the upgraded versions. No sense putting Injen boost pipes on the stock plastic end capped intercooler.

i thought i was unlucky with split hotside hose right off the turbo, this looks way worse. I bet even though GMS1 boosts the same, i bet targets are reached significantly faster via spiking. and temps may be hotter, but who knows, its an economy car, and if there is shitty plastic on the dash, what makes you think theyd put anything nice under the bumper

Mine blew up last night, no idea why... Just cruising down a long road. Car is stock at 15 psi, burned through at least $30 of gas that night before it happened. There was actually that piece hanging down from the passenger side that is usually clipped in/onto the intercooler (that's what broke I think).

Still haven't looked to see what really might of happened (end tanks maybe)?

Anyhow... Gonna be asking the dealership to fix that ****

I am at 23psi with stock boost pipes and intercooler. Just Intake, BPV, and DP. Lets see how long they hold. If one goes, I might get boost pipes and an intercooler.

Well, here we go! I was driving down the road and got into it a bit. The passenger side end cap blew out and I lost all boost. Took it to the dealership and the want me to pay for the intercooler. I am still under bumper to bumper warranty.

These intercoolers seem to pop in the same place. Passenger side elbow. Now I have to call GM and fight. Anyone have any TSBs or anything I can use to plead my case?

I went through 4 of them on stock boost. The dealer kept replacing mine, but I kept getting suspicious looks and they were tired of dealing with me. Just buy the ZZP, like I did, and you don't have to worry about it anymore.

p.s. Mine always popped in cold weather, when I didn't let the whole thing warm up before getting into it.

Yup, cold day and BOOM. Passenger side end. If I get denied, I ain't paying $750 +. Did you get the ZZP intercooler alone or did you get cold side and hot side?

All these people blowing their intercooler on the passenger side and no TSB?

Stock intercooler blew out passenger side end cap, like many stock intercoolers.

I'm stock except for the ZZP IC. They now have a "Clearance" IC that has better ground clearance, if you want that one.

agreed, you need to forget paying $750 for a shitty IC and buy the ZZP one that has ground clearance or another brand with cast endtanks...

Follow my How to Install thread for some helpful directions and tips on installing the IC.

Thanks, it seems ZZP will not have the latest edition for a few months.
