does anybody know if the boost guage on the 08/09 ss's are mechanical or full sweep electric?

 

Electric. Mechanical would have a vacuum (boost) hose connected to it. I don't know if it is compatible with any other cars - it may be specific to GM.

 

Safe to assume it pulls the signal from the MAP sensor then?

 

yeah that's what i'm thinking because i wanna get the cobalt blue guages from autometer and i was gonna get the full sweep electric ones and i thought that they already had the electric ones in the car from the factory

 

the guages are made by auto meter for gm they are electric, all you would need ot hook up a diferent one is a wiring diagram, and you coudl hook up any guage u want i can get u a diagram if needed.

 

cool man that sounds good i think i'm going to get one of those autometer cobalt guages that are blue
