I bet the CEL's are happening on stock tunes in which case a spring upgrade is not necessary.

That's what I'm hoping for bc I'm pushin more through mine and I think the spring will help. I think of it as more of a safety/profficiency upgrade than a performanc upgrade.

NO!, the CEL In my case was caused by stupidity. I forgot to hook the vacuum line back up

HA You big stupid! Did it go away once you hooked it back up or did you have to get it deleted?

I knew it was pretty simpe. I didn't put any sealant back on the bolts though as I didnt have any. Don't think it should be an issue. I don't even know why people kept sayint to take that hose off.....kinda pointless. I just left it attached. The pressure released when I took it out and pulled off the black seal on the inside holding the spring in. I can't really test it out as I've got a couple things I'm workin on but I'll get to check it out soon enough.

Would doing this on a stock car with a stock tune cause any issues?

a thicker spring or aftermarket valve will not make your turbo spool faster, a TBE or smaller turbo will.

As long as your cool with knowing this is a SOUND MOD ONLY, unless you plan to run a turbo that boosts north of 40psi,

on the other hand if your looking for performance, spend it on intercooler, DP, Tune, etc.

it is a 10 dollar mod not to mention people in this thread said and have PROOF, a dyno, showing even tho it isn't verry noticeable when you have mods you can get a slight drop in boost (a slight boost leak) so for those of you that are modding your cars but keeping that 100k warenty might keep this mod in mind, come on 10 buck 6 months ago couldn't even get you 2.5 gallons of gas.... i think it is worth the risk i have been putting it off since this thread started and i am just going to order it right now

also when ^^ said unless you plan to run a turbo that runs 40 psi i don't think he remembered that to boost that he'd need a bigger turbo.... you obviously wouldn't need this for a bigger turbo lol

It's cool man I just took it the wrong way then. It's hard to tell over the internet you know lol.

Anyway I'll probably wait for the stage kit to up the boost before I change the spring out.
