BOV what are my options

So i was pretty excited with my dejon upgrade spring the sound was great but after install i noticed surge when shifting around 5 psi. Then after research i read all sorts of bad things also good. Seems like its results are inconclusive. But like most I'm jumping ship better safe than sorry mentality.

Anyway Im canned tunned and i want the pssst noise. how do i get it without retuning? or tuning my only option

never put a bov on if your not tuned for it. you dont NEED a pshh sound haha. do you have a intake?

edit: just read your sig, you should get the k&n sri and see how you like that sound before spending all the money just for a sound.

The purpose of our spring is to keep the stock Compressor Bypass Valve closed at high boost pressures where the stock spring, being weaker sometimes leaks boost. This insures max boost. The downside is that it does not open as quickly at low pressure which can cause surge (as you found out). However In my experience this does no damage. Surge at high boost when the turbo is running fast is dangerous.

That said, get a good tune if you don't have one. The power improvement is awesome. We sell the Trifecta tune which I highly recommend.

OP: Mine BOV hasn't got boring... You WILL definitely need a tune. Even if you MAF relocate, the MAF will read really high numbers which will cut timing and fuel pressure... ask me how I know haha. The best thing to do is to get the maf since you will most likely not be able to effectively tune for a MAF sensor in the intake path if it is placed before the BOV. From what I gather in my experience and in reading, your computer reads a loss of metered air and will read a rich mixture, throwing you into limp mode. Now the MAF relocate must be tuned for because above 20,000 hz on the MAF you car will freak out... happens at like 20 psi if I remember right. It's easy enough to tune for. BYT or Term can tell you more but that is the basics of it as I understand it.

Part of the BOV tuning is setting the inj diable table a certain way that helps it enter DFCO almost any time you release the pedal from the slightest load. The MAF relocate makes it better also since the MAF is now after the open BOV, but Ive tuned plenty without it that ran just fine too.

Get a Forge BPV and you wont need a retune.

If you super really f'ing want a bov....you HAVE to get tuned for it.

I want to see you tune a car with the treadstone maf relocate with honeycomb and see if that helps I'm gearing up to tune my car this summer so I've been looking at a honeycomb insert for the intake..just need some measurements.

If someone sends me one I will gladly test it on my car, post the logs and then return it. Should take about a week to have a good impression on it.

Why use the honeycomb if you are going to tune for it anyways??? BYT or Term can adjust for it.

If you decide to go with our BOV and MAF relocate, I would retune your ECM, no charge.

have you tuned a intake that skews all over the place? a honey comb or air straightener will keep the trims consistent. with out one they could be erratic. Tuning would be much easier through out the rpm's with a consistent flow over a maf.
