I haven't done the fronts yet, but when I used to do my Porsche, I just used a channel pliers with a shop towel..one side on the backing plate and one against caliper with the towel to prevent scrathches on the caliper face...easy. The pliers method above is SUPER easy, but if that gives ya fits, use my method.

Yeah, the fronts really are a breeze compared to the backs or many other cars.

I did the rears once at 9k already so I know what to expect there, if the fronts are easier, that'll be great. I have to pull the calipers off since I'm replacing the rotors also.

If you're just doing pads, you simply punch out two pins, push the pads into each side of the caliper to make room for the new ones, slide out pads, slide new ones in, replace the retainer that popped out with the pins, pop the pins back in, and you're done. lol

If you've got the wheel off, your tools there, and your new parts prepared, you could do a pad swap on one side in literally two minutes. It's crazy-simple.

In the case of doing rotors too, you're going to also need to unbolt the calipers by taking out two mount bolts in the back. There are also usually two lock washers per rotor around the wheel studs.
