cheapest axleback for sound?

Just wonderin, are the ss/tc compatible for just an axelback or muffler replacement? I just want some growl and nothin else. Don't want catback cuz our flow is already good. Any suggestions and how much it would cost?

I think you should just get a muffler delete if you want a growl....

it is where you have muffler cut out and a straight pipe put in, your local exhaust shop can do it and it will pass emissions testing.

i would recommend a muffler delete, cause, its probably like 50-100 bucks and looks stock
if you do a muffler, youll pay for muffler and then the same 50-100 bucks to have it installed and yet almost sound like stock... lol

That would be dumb to do that exhaust in your link. The factory exhaust is already 2.5" and is alreayd mandrel bent, but using much better materials then aluminized steel.

If all you want is a muffler...Just go to an exhaust shop, tell them you want a new muffler (pick the type you want) They will install it for you. Just try to find one that you like the sound on (which is going to be hard to figure out just taking a guess)

Yes that does require welding, and they will have to remove some of your piping...Your looking at around 100.00 depending on what they charge for the muffler.

wow dude...just wow...you've asked like 4 times if anyone makes an axle back exhaust...the answer is NO!!! cut the stock muffler off, get a new one welded in place of it holy **** how hard is that to grasp?! if you want growl, like everyone else has been saying cut the stock muffler off, and get a straight pipe welded in place of it...problem solved, emissions will be fine and you'll have the growl you're looking for....

and yes, its a 2.5" inlet bc the exhaust is 2.5"

here you go im sure this will help.

go to overthetopperformance.com click cobalt. click exhaust. click cat-back. scroll down and you will see there OVER THE AXLE MUFFLER AND TIP REPLACMENT SYSTEMS. Also 09whiteSS maybe you should research before you act like a dick to th OP. Also yes our exhaust is 2.5" however when it goes over the rear axle it cuts down to 2.25".

Wrong, it is 2.5 all the way from the resonator to the muffler. It is not crush bent. I have my stock catback in the back of my truck right now and am looking right at it. The stock DP is 3" and the first 4-5" of the stock Catback is 3" it necks down to 2.5" right at the resonator.

The SS/SC's catback necks down to 2.25" over the axel, but the SS/TC's catback stays 2.50" all the way back ....
