Clear Image Automotive dyno testing, flow bench testing and more...
and damn dan.. so that mean for under 2k you can have almost 320 whp jeez... thats stupid retarded ridiculously awesome
Agreed on all counts. But, once the car is moving and the initial warmer ambient air from the engine compartment has been drawn in, air will be coming in from the lower, inner, bumper area as stock draws from as well as the longer intake. Regarless, we're going to build, flow bench and dyno test both anyways. The customer will be able to order any intake system they prefer.
Roughly $1800.00, including coatings, for everything listed.
I still have some prices to finish working up but I'm not going to be any higher. You can't get the same quality, ease of install, fit, finish, appearance and certainly not the same power from any other company offering performance parts for your car. PERIOD! We have spent more time developing parts for the Cobalt, flow bench testing and dyno tuning than anyone else.
Roughly a 75 HP gain, to the wheels, over stock. Plus our products sounds better, weigh less, are stronger and look like the factory installed them.
And we're having fun! I'm glad you like our results.
Thanks for your comments.
There was still more power to be had but the stock clutch started slipping. Daniel, the owner, is installing a heavy duty clutch shortly. He should be ready to come back up in about 3 weeks.
OK, I'm gone.

Yea it amazes me but it comes down to the tune and the aftermarket parts, Clear image has really worked their asses off to try and make the best products possible, also vince is a genius when it comes to tuning
damn i cant wait till i find a ss/tc around here that has all the opions i want. I am for sure going to be geting the short ram and the tune from these guys. The time that they are puting into these parts is like no other tuner car product i have seen. I am very impressed with what you guys are doing and i dont say that to alot of companys.
As far as the HKS blow-off valve. I personally see it as a wate of money. If you are looking for the sound of a BOV, install a free flwoing intake. The same money you spend on a BOV for sound can be spent on the intake which not only gives you the sound, but 15 plus HP to the wheels. BUT, since people seem interested in BOV's anyways, we will certainly offer them, though I think it should be one of the last modifications performed, not one of the first. Sort of like the intercooler. The factory intercooler has proven to be very efficient, despite what other companies may say in order to sell you a new one. When another company can prove their intercooler or BOV up-grades allow them to make more power than we have, let me know. Right now, as the owner of a manufacturing company, who has worked with two other companies to do the most extensive research, product development and dyno testing/tuning ever down for this vehicle, my opinion is this: stick with the stock BOV and intercooler. There's absolutely nothing wrong with either and there is NO reason to change them at this time. But, if you just have to have them, we can do it, and better than anyone else, as we have already proven.
That very cool that you are so customer oriented. I am in the market for an intake like your competitors I just do not like their choice of filter S&B filters seem to be far superior to the K&N. Will you PM me a price and availability of your CAI style intake. I know you are still in the design phase.

Vince is planning to ship right away but Monday may be pushing it. He has a lot of data to compile from 8 hours of dyno testing and tuning Friday.
