FYI,

I also purchased the KY 6 puck thanks to Chevycobaltss3 and it is a sweet clutch after you break it in 500 miles or so, I could not be happier with the money I saved.

Did I miss it on the KY Clutch webpage or what? I don't see the Cobalt SS clutches listed.

ok im gonna list the clutches they carry i might not get all of them but ill try..

6 puck double sprung with a double face kevlar dor drivability,
6 puck double sprung with double sided ceramic for holding power
6 puck with multi face ceramic and kevlar

8 puck double sprung single disc, kevlar, but i still wouldnt use it for the 8 puck just because the wear on a 8 puck in very quick because of holding capacity and no slippage

8 puck double sprung ceramic clutch ceramic holding power great, but build the tranny before this clutch is installed or bye bye tranny. (TRUST ME).

stock clutches
full face cluthes

they make specail order clutches, and ive been to there shop alot with friends and cars i worked on other then mine, and they are great people, and take care of there customers.

they do carry more clutchs i just dont have al the info lol theres alot

Digging up a dead thread, but I didn't want to make a new one for my question as it's related.

Mods: BSR PPC Tune, ZZP spun metal cat DP, K&N intake ------> That's all that I really have planned. Well, soon to have Wiseco Forged Pistons.

I'm also looking at clutches right now. I very likely broke a ring land - Just waiting on confirmation from a compression test. While the engine is apart my buddy who will be doing the work recommended just to throw a clutch in while we're at it since the stocker was slipping.

So, I've been looking at Spec or ZZP. The ZZP sounds like it's a really quality piece. I know a lot of people are using KY and I'd love to save money, but if I were one of those people who had high engagement it'd drive me absolutely bonkers. I'd be willing to pay for a ZZP for quality and knowing I'll just be doing this once and forgetting it.

Anyway, ZZP offers a Throwout bearing upgrade. Would this be a worthwhile upgrade? ($100)
