I'm guessing it's a huge leak, I'm not even hitting full boost. 19 psi compared to 24. The turbo is overspinning trying to keep up with it. I'm not doing anymore WOTs until I get this fixed. I'm not trying to blow this turbo before I even actually use it.

5 psi isnt that bad. I was boosting like 9 psi vs 22 psi when I had a crack in my manifold.

Yea, but it's not hitting 19 @4k rpm and holding it through the redline. It gradually builds from there at like 12 psi to 19 at redline. I'm sure the turbo is being overspun like a son of a bitch lol.

your spool will suffer with a large AR, go with the smaller one for 4cyl cars.

.55 will spool about 500 RPMs sooner vs the .73 on your car more than likely.

But will it die up top? Some graphs i have seen look almost k04 like with huge tq and hp starts to level, but does not drop, till 7000-7500. Now every graph i have seen has been on a housing at least .73 and some with even the larger td06 turbine wheel.

So im thinking that the .73 will give me 20-25psi by 4200 and be better up top till 7k. Im ok with some lag. Not too much lol but some is ok.

You could try hooking a mbc up instead of the factory boost solenoid and see if it boosts properly if the wg turns out not to be the issue.

Well for now, I'm not even going to try the wastegate anymore as it's the tightest it can be and i'm still not boosting properly. I did a boost leak test and have a leak. We can hear it, we put smoke through it no smoke. We can't find it. I'm just going to have them take the whole lower charge pipe out and fully seal MAP/MAF sensor and the other bung for the boost line.

Soapy water on every joint and sensor seal area will show it better than smoke imho. Like a leaky tire.

Yea, we're gonna do the soapy water test too after we silicone all sensors and make sure all clamps and hoses are fully tight on. This charge pipe **** is a pain in the ass.

Everything i have read indicates quicker spool than that with the td06 wheel with .73 or .84 housings. Idk. I really dont think it will be that laggy. James had 30psi at 4400 on his with the td06 wheel. If compared to a precision 5557 whereas 55 is a 55mm inducer comp wheel and 57 is the 57mm exducer turbine wheel my 25g would be a 6049. So its got a pretty big comp wheel but a baby turbine wheel

Hope im right lol. Who knows. I keep reading and researching and collecting opinions over the next couple days then i will make a decision and hope for the best.

Thanks for your input tho. I do appreciate getting sone knowledgeable advice and i am listening to what you are saying.

if you are about the power up top then go with the larger AR, just gonna come in laggy in the center and up. I have a video before I built my 20g you could see at 80-100 mile per hour would shoot out of know where but it took forever to get up there. But when it does...
