Crank but no start condition, gm master tech is stumped.
starts with a sniff of starter fuild for a few seconds.
Checked: fuel pressure at rail, hpfp condition, has spark,.
(New fuel lines, in tank pump)
Car was sitting for a year. Previous owner stated it wouldn't start after doing fuel lines and gave up.
Canadian car and has heavy rust. Fuse box was corroded in areas. And cranking did stop so changed it out.

 

Are the fuel lines connected backwards??????

 

Well if it runs on some starter fluid, that means you arent getting any fuel....

So the basics, what is fuel psi at the HPFP?

Is the HPFP plugged in?

Can you hear the injectors clicking while cranking it over?

 

After the basics: What is the fuel rail pressure reading while cranking. Are you getting matching duty cycle at the HPFP regulator you can control with a scanner

 

has the stupid engine harness ground been checked.
