The Downpipe Dilemma
I'll just start by saying that I know that I'm beating a dead horse here. It's about time for a downpipe and tune. I've rtff and used the google. From what I've read, most dps are pretty comparable aside form price. Reports of failures from the reputable manufacturers are slim to none. Given that I will be getting tuned whenever I get the dp installed, a CEL is of no concern. There are some complaints about the smell with a catless dp. I've put together a price list form my searching. It seems that it's just a matter or preference really and I'd be fine with any of the ones listed.
Catted
ZZP - $230
MPX - $250
Hahn - $300
TurboXS - $200
CIA - $395
Catless
ZZP – $140 (no o2 bung) / $150 (with bung) / $170 (angled bung)
MPX - $180
Hahn - $200
Megan - $175
TurboXS - $209
Bad Mab - $115
Treadstone $215
CIA - $305
I do have a few questions though.
Do any of them offer discounts through the forum or anything like that?
Are there any that I have missed and should consider?
What info is available on the types of cats used or how it may affect performance/emissions?

That list pretty much covers it!
Do any of them offer discounts through the forum or anything like that? - There use to be a lot of sales on here from vendors such as TurboXS etc but as of lately I don't think so. Your best bet would be to try and get like a 10% off code if the companies offer it from signing up to their newsletter or something.
Are there any that I have missed and should consider? - Nope your list pretty much covers all the main manufacturers of our downpipes you may be able to find some from: Magnaflow, Borla, Flowmaster, all the popular brands but again the ones you listed are most likely going to be better.
What info is available on the types of cats used or how it may affect performance/emissions? - Searching on our forums / Reading more on the company website. Our forums go in depth on the downpipe thread Click here

You cant go wrong with any of those options. I have a catted CIA one myself. Was expensive and if I did it again, id probably go with ZZP or TurboXS for cost. Angled bung eliminates the CEL, its a cheap add on.
You will get a good 300 whp with either the highflow catted dp or catless dp. Really the difference is going to be loudness, the latter being the louder. The catted dp also gets an increase in growl factor so its up to you.

The catless isn't a whole lot louder than the one with a cat. I've had both from zzp and they were fine. At the drive through you will have exhaust smell with the catless, just warning you ahead of time.
