Ummm, So is anyone going to address the bear?

The only way it will work precat is not to use the Y pipe with the cutout. Like donkeyballs said, it has to be done at the bend.

Mind's is a 3" QTP on ZZP recirculated DP with cat.

How's it mounted to the pipe if u didn't use the y Pipe?

 

I used the flange off of the Y pipe and welded that on the dp.

Ya I ran over a black bear.....lol

It was dead, couldn't see it till it was too late, factory Sunfire low beams suck *****.

Someone had run over it previous to me, so its was already kinda flat, but I'm pretty sure my car still went airborne for a second or two.

The front bumper did hit it (there was hair and blood on the bumper) but it must of been low enough that it flexed out of the way.

The underside of my car wasn't so lucky, hair/blood/guts everywhere, ripped a bunch of wires up, tweaked my exhaust.

All in all it really wasn't to bad tho, nothing some solder and a pressure washer couldn't fix...LOL

Ya, the ironic part is I used to have a Cavalier, my brother ran over a dead moose with it and totaled it.

Outside of the car was fine, but it broke the lower rad support and broke the motor off the motor mounts, air bags also went off.

With the insurance money from that incident I bought the Sunfire I currently own.

Oh the joys of living in Northern Canada....LOL

Lol totaled the cavi cause u can't simply run over a dead moose in a cavi lol
