Ex, you have an awesome build no doubt, but I will disagree that wastegates are awesome. I've had many friends that have used EWG's on Supra's, Evo's and STI's and after a while they even got annoyed by the loud ass dump after 4k or so. I never liked the sound they make. I prefer my car to sound more like a jet then anything(which is a comment I've gotten from firends). I took out my vents in the hood, wow does the turbo scream now(very audible)

well tell your friends to stop getting terrible gas mileage when they drive their cars lol. the only time i hear my wastegate is when i'm making a pass. theres no need for 4k on the street. especially with enough throttle to create enough boost to overcome spring pressure.

but again folks. please go read my post and then >insertsarcasmhere<

"eh its just a cobalt". i was just one of the first if not the first to do the girdled block. hell it will be 3 years in may since i did it. theres a good amount of us now. girdled forged short block. ported head. turbo. and the fuel to go with it. thats all there is to it.

Your one of a few that are making good numbers and great time slips so people look up to you. How is that electronic brake setup looking?

Yeah I don't think that its anything special. lol

Tons of people have impressive builds I can name a ton. Most cant apply 400hp to the ground you really think 600 is going to be easier.

I have always been impressed with Exsoccer build and pretty much run the same setup now besides a turbo. Tons of people are running some nice setups. This community has come a long way since last year or so where only a few people had turbo swapped LSJ. Look at us now its growing out of control.

Keep it up guys.

Cant wait for the 2.1 and 6 speed myself. Just waiting on ZZP to work a couple of things out. Then E85 next season and going at it again.

i don't think i'll ever go to the 6 speed. i think with the different tire sizes, 4.45 final drive, and the boost controller. i can control the power and stress on the transmission to make it last.

If neons can get 600+ to the ground I am sure I can find a way as well. Just takes some $$ and at times ingenuity.

You will never get an 17-18 inch wheel and tire to hook at 500+ hp. dont care what anyone says. You need something like me or Mark have now. 15 or 16 inch with a good slick or something like a m and h cheater or hoosier qtp.

This is on nt05's at 28 or so psi in the tires and about 500whp. Now it does get down and rolls out good but 4th would spin sometimes as well. On the slicks its all good. Sometimes you have to sacrifice looks for performance.

I never said i was going to try and hook on street tires or my daily rims. I ran full suspension, S60 and ET streets on the z28 i have no problem hooking up some real meat to the front of this one behind the 4.45 trans.

Not pointed directly at you lol, other people always imply they are going to do one thing or another to get the thing to hook. More to raver and his pf01 statement, just because you can get a 10 inch wide wheel in there, if it dont have the side wall to flex and grip the road you still wont hook. I know the people that are going big know and understand what all that intails.

I honestly love this thread. Cmiller, No matter how hard I try I can't lay rubber down like you. I'm on nt05's as well 415whp/435wtq .

BTW Ford your looking at 675whp or crank. I can't wait to see what the hell you do LOL

675whp. Should be exciting but will be a custom thing so it won't happen overnight. It will happen quick though.

Well u learn something every day...I was assuming more rubber on the road means a greater chance of traction.
