dropping the car off tomorow morning (7/29) at 8 am, the earliest available appt.

This dealer has been pretty good so far, and its surpising because ive never seen ANY Cobalt SS on their lot, ever... ya the sputter sound I got would sound like it was from the cold side piping, or the exit end tank on the intercooler, dunno if its boost or vacuum leak, But I am getting **** for gas mileage....

ok just to be clear those with GMS1 running "correctly" you can "light up the tires" in first and 2nd with absolute ease ? at any RPM ? or just from a dig?

Didn't know we had a first gear, I tend to not stay in it long as there is no traction there. Generally spin a little in second as well. I don't think I spin in third ever.

That's definitely a boost leak. I would get 14MPG registering when I cracked my IC.

Yea I didn't have any problems with gas mileage before the sensors were rewired.

i went from 25mpg avg with normal driving to 19.5 with avg driving........

Got the car back today, dropped it off at 8 am, picked it up at 430 when they called me. Apparently the guy was on the phone with GM all day.

He went over the AC issue, the MAf issues, etc etc etc, pretty much everything we say here. Again I was surprised, but on the brightside, this means that GM knows about it.

Anyway, they ordered me a new bottom sensor because they said they found a red waxy residue on the sensor and the guy thinks it fried itself...I just agreed...... one week earlier I found what looked like to be an empty screw hole right next to the same sensor, and held my thumb against it with a peice of big red chewing gum, it got hot, some stayed on the pipe, but most came off. SOOOOO i am getting a sensor because they think it is fried . haha O well now I gotta wait for that to come in, another day or so to say thats not it and what not.

In the meantime, the car does run a lil better. He said he plugged / unplugged all the sensors while he was going over the car, has I had all kinds of MAF codes *but strangely only one CEL ever came up*, but with that being said, turns out my wires are NOT soldered. Meaning maybe this repluggin in of the sensor moved the wires around or they have better connection. Still when the sensor comes in I' am gunna ask them to solder it and see what happens.

As for the GMS1 question, Ive never actually launched my car from a standstill (getting close to 15k miles), but I have hit it from like 2k+ in first gear and it would start spinning, as for second if you row throw it would chirp and spin for a bit, or if I hit it from say 2500-3k rpm it would spin them. Third gear would spin, but only in colder weather (less grip duh) so ya, right nwo I have little amounts of chirp if anything......................................

In other news, I dont know what to do with the hahn in my garage, sell it?

Well, I had to travel a good distance to work today becUse I'm working out of town. I have to drive 50km each way and for half my trip when I got on it, the bpv sounded really wierd when it blew off. When I got to work I checked everything under the hood and everything was connected. The only thing I have done recently was checked to make sure the clamps were tight, took the bpv apart to make sure it was ok and inspected all vac lines. It's kinda wierd how it will do it then stop. The car doesn't pull like it should. I'm getting really frustrated with this ******* piece of junk. Might be getting rid of this thing a few years sooner than planned....

Get the dejon bpv spring. Get your GMS1 sensor wires soldered. Check for leaks or cracks in the intercooler system.

everyone has the same answer for him he boost tested the whole system to 25 psi and just the IC to 30 psi (experiencing some leaks in the IC wanted to be safe they were all sealed) He also just had the wires soldered, and it made no difference.

Get the 3 prong valve. On top of the intake manifold replaced. They do fail and cause issues. Spring could be bad as well.

Does your car make sort of a deep-throated "Waaaaaaa" sound when it's running like crap and under boost?

Don't get the Dejon BPV spring. That's a big waste of time and money

That's funny. I've had this happen about 5 times in the 14 months I've owned this car. It usually happens when I'm on the highway and get on it. I hear that deep throated "Waaaaa" noise, I see boost, but my car feels really underpowered. It always went away, so I never had to look into it. My car is stock.

Solenoid on the manifold could have failed. Sensors themselves been replaced? Why don't you just take it to the dealership.

He already did. They told him there's nothing wrong with it. Big surprise, there.

You need to go in there with some authority. If you got a problem make them ride with you or talk to the service manager. Tell them your going to report them to the better business bureau or to GM Headquarters. Its so much stuff. Don't let the advisors who don't know anything about the vehicles sit there and give you the run around

The IAT2 sensor was already replaced, right?

This is the main problem with the GMS1 kit: it requires you to hack up the wiring, so you can't just put your old MAP sensors back on for troubleshooting. Why hack it up at all? Why didn't they just make an adapter cable?

that's the million dollar question, they should have spent the extra $25 and included them.

I'll deff have to put my car back to stock then.

The iat2 sensor is the lower sensor right? They took the sensor from the im and put it
in the lower cp and ordered a new one for the Im

The car does not run too well without both those sensors working.
