Also forgot to mention that they haven't released the software update (2.24) yet that will include the 09, so far 08 works only. They should be releasing it within the next few weeks tho.

dealers dont hate warranty work, they actually make the most money off of warranty work, trust me I know because i'm VERY close with my dealer
so basically if u wanna keep your warranty get a spare ecu then just swap it out whenever u wanna get warranty work done correct?

From what I know, all warranty work are usually dictated by the auto manufacturer's strict book time. If the work they preformed exceed that dictated book time, they don't get paid for the extra time they need to get it done and lose money on that job. The way dealer compensate for that is to charge for a much higher labor rate, which is why labor is so high already which makes even more sense for them to minimize warranty work.

May be when I said "they don't get a dime for it" is and overstatement, but I HIGHLY doubt they "make the most money off of warranty work".

Back to the original topic, I feel kind of sorry for Hann selling the PPC. It's only a matter of time before someone downloads the PPC tune to HP Tuners and posts it.

and its way over priced... you want a REAL tune for your car.. search for Lyndon from Westers Garage and he will hook you up with a tune for about the same price as HP Tuners and he's unlocked MANY more features than HP Tuners has

No not correct False, I keep seeing well then I will get a spare ecu then. Does not many read the whole post or search you will have to take it in and have the clutch relearn done do ya think that will raise suspicions or what and I'm sure it will be unless anyone knows does gm service just do clutch relearns and pass ecu's out like candy???

did YOU not read the posts? I stated that I'm close with my dealer and they hook it up. Of course I knew about the whole relearn ordeal. Anyone that has connections with their dealer can do it. If you can't, then I can get an ECU for you for $500 relearned and ready, that is for the 08's only, cause mine is an 08, but I could possibly get it for the 09 as well, will have to check.

Cool man thanks! By the end of the week I should be the proud owner of black 09 sedan and I think my first mod will be the purchase of hpt and some tuning lesions.

you're going to be in for LOTS of fun If you need help tuning just lmk

Ok guys. Part # is the same for both 08/09 ECUs. Part #: 12614967. The only problem is you will have to have your dealer reprogram it for you while it is in YOUR vehicle because of the VIN. Can't do it as I stated earlier where I would program it to my car, has to be programmed to your car. PM me if you have any questions.

Great price on gmpartsdirect.com
