horsepower question.
horsepower question.
So I dynoed my 2008 cobalt ss today. On a dyno jet down here in Downey ca. Made 349.21 whp. And 399.66 tq. My question is this. How do I put this on the list for highest stock turbo?
Not sure how to post pictures. Or videos. But I have the pictures. And the videos for proof. Anyways thanks for the help guys.
EDIT: GUESS I should post my mods.
Injen cold air intake, injen upper charge pipes. With a synapse diverter valve. (Recirculating) back into the I take. Zzp intercooler, zzp Hugh flow catted downpipe, custom 2.5" exhaust. With MagnaFlow muffler. And tuned for e47. Running 24psi. And of course a bone stock k04.
My next question is if I put a k04r on it. Does that count as stock turbo since it's still a k04?

Didn't say I had the record. Just meant to get put on the list. And how am I not making this? Full bolt on and on e47? Pretty sure my mods aren't much different than any of the top people on the list. Glad to see there's so many haters on this site.
why do you assume that they are hating? just giving you a hard time. i think staged is ahead of that thread, pm him if youre really interested
not all dynos read the same. they need calibration and not to mention, if you dont have a before and after comparison, we can never really get an idea about how much power youre really making. the only way to compare car A to car B is to have them race, or run on the exact same dyno in the exact same conditions.
youll read people post up their dyno numbers all the time as though they are proud of them, but think about it, if you were a shop owner, would you use a dyno that broke customers hearts, or one that read high to keep them happy? dynos are a tool so that you can measure power before and after making changes: i.e. tune, parts, etc. to see whether or not you make gains and how good of gains they were. also, load bearing dynos make it possible to calibrate parts of the ve table that would be otherwise hard to do on the road.

I realize what a dyno is used for. But to give an idea of how this dyno reads. My car made that. My dad 64 nova. With a built 383. That was dynoed before on a different dyno. Made 497/440. On the other dyno he tested before he dynoed at 571. So no this dyno isn't reading high. I'm not saying it's reading low either. But food for thought. I think the last dyno he was on read High. I dont believe this one is. He was on colder plugs today so he could run nitrous. But colder plugs are worth 70+ horsepower. But yes I am interested. I ended up finding the post with the dyno list. And posted my stuff if it gets posted sweet. If not **** it. I know how my car feels. And it put down how it feels. That's all that matters tbh. But who doesn't like being in the top 10 of anything
i hear you man. was just trying to outline why i think everyone is giving you a hard time. but this really is a good site. lots of good info. sometimes you just really have to look hard for it. and most of the **** people post is meant to be taken sarcastically, but the words on a page cant express it.
