no. 3 is the reason we have e85 vehicles, CAFE loophole/exploitation/utilization whatever you wish to call it
this is the first peice of actual infomation i've read about E85, i've heard of it and seen it at the pumps but never cared enough to search google and read thru it all. If it's big enough to affect me it'll effect all my friends too and I'm sure they'll info me lol

Well, i guess only time will tell if E85 is better at the track, if it's true we'll start seeing everyone convert to it.

E85 has n octane of ~104, so if you're tuned to take advantage of it, it works great as a race fuel. I still wouldn't trust it not to cause problems with the fuel system under long term use, thus why if I was going to use it, it would be for race only. (but then I would need two different tunes because the lower energy density of E85 would mean you would need to inject more (20-30%) to get to the same power output level)
