Intake Camshaft Sensor ISSUE!!!!!!
The lnf motor had this problem the since it was released in fall 2006, cant believe its still happening.
The plant puts green dye in the oil for a reason, and they still cant catch that leak? Sad...
I would also crawl underneath the car and see if there's any oil leaking between the engine and the tranny.

Well this topic is a leaking intake cam sensor or possibly head leaking. If we don't talk about it no one should. We still love our car and sometimes GM. Just want it to be working perfectly.
Perhaps I should chime in again since it is apparent that what was written prior was obviously taken the wrong way...
The statement made prior was to indicate that other chevy models may be experiencing the same thing...so you may want to check your car out to see if there is a leak. Never once did I imply chevy quality was amiss... I happen to feel that my car is very solid. This appears to be an issue across the board that should be checked out. In my case I feel that although there is an obvious issue, that it has yet to affect my car's driveability and I am not worried about my car's near future performance...
I would recommend in the future giving someone the benefit of the doubt rather than make someone feel as though they have to defend a completely innocent statement.... enough said

nice reply man..
does anyone know if this takes more than one day to fix? because GM doesnt pay for a loaner car if the job takes less than one day.. i just want to know if i should have someone follow me to the dealer haha.

find a better dealer, mine gives me a car for any sort of warranty thing
I'll check mine later, but I havn't noticed any significant oil consumption in 14k miles so it if its leaking, its nothing significant for me.
labor time for intake cam sensor is 0.9 hours +0.0-0.3 for diagnostic

thanks for the info, ill call around for some dealers.. ohh dont think there will be lots of oil missing, there wont be. But, it will make a mess under ure fuel pump and there is a good chance u dont want to see that haha.
Remember this. A car is a mechanical thing. Mechanical things break. Things get fixed. **** HAPPENS!! I don't care if your're driving a YUGO or a ROLLES ROYCE. Sooner or later it's going to break. And somebody is going to have to fix it. And furthermore. The way I see the the kids on this forum talk about how they beat the **** out of their cars, they shouldn't have any problem at all trashing a M1 ABRAMS TANK. And as far as the drving all the rice rockets. If you think they are better than what you're driving now, trade it in and buy one. Then you'd be too ashamed to bitch about it.

By the way. Thanks to CobaltSS/TC for the heads up. My 09 sedan seems more like it's weeping oil. Like the aluminum arond the sensor is slightly porous. It's discolored but until I can wipe oil off with my finger I think I'll just cut my dealer, AND GM some slack. They've both got enough on their plate right now and I don't want GM to waste any money on a petty thing like this. But I will keep an eye on it and take it to the dealer if/when it get's worse. Thanks again CobaltSS/TC
