Question Internally wastegated GT3076r?

So i found that they make these with a T25 flange. Still tryin to determine the mount position on them as when i search pictures i am getting everything under the moon.

Kind of curious if there would be a way to "almost" directly bolt this in. Fabbing an intake or at worst cutting up/bending a downpipe would not be the end of the world. Anyone know anything about these turbos?

Don't do it. Just buy a full kit and rid of the headache. Do you already have the exhaust mani?

I have no problem buying a whole kit. Just honestly making a decision on which one has been the hardest thing ever lol. I spend all day looking at compressor maps, lb/min ratings, reviews, dyno #'s, track times, reliabiilty, etc.

I have flip flopped on my turbo decision like 12x now. I am waiting on the accountant to finish up my taxes so i can figure how poor i am going to be before buying the turbo though. I typically owe upwards of $6k so this was a "budget" idea i thought of while searching around.

Right now i believe my two top contenders are:

ZZP S256et + manual boost controller

or

Treadstone Stg4 w/GTX3076

Either turbo will be paired with ZZP cams w/upgraded fuel lobes and springs. Still i want the EFR as well and do some random searches looking for one that is availble.

What T25 exhaust manifold would you use?

Save your time and headache, go buy a proven turbo kit... Don't be a guinea pig for anything unless you have lots of $$ and patient.

09 gt3076 cobalt on the street - YouTube

you can try hitting up this guy and ask him questions, he said he was running a kit from hahn and apparently you could get the 30r as an upgrade.

Man, that sounds so sweet. This is the year of the turbo upgrade. Seems like everyone was talking about it for a while, waiting on the EFR, then said "**** it," and started going to other turbos.

That sound it's making is not a good one.

I will have a GT3076r. I don't care what I have to do.

I meant the gerbil hiccup sound when he lets off the throttle. The WG dump is what you are hearing most likely.

It would sound a lot better without the external WG. Otherwise, I love the sound of a GT30 spooling. It's like angels singing
