I buy the oil change jug that Mobil 1 offers which is 5.28 quarts and that is the perfect amount for the LNF. Putting just 5 quarts in won't register on the dipstick for some reason but when I put that extra .28 in it reads full. I've had to do that with my LSJ as well, which took 6.5 quarts.

So can anyone confirm if putting 6 QTs in a stock 2009 2.0l Turbo cobalt will hurt it or not?

just put 5l the manual says 4.7l which is 5 qt. i put in 5l which is 5.2 qt, just put that in cause thats usually how the bottles come, why would u buy an extra bottle of oil when u dont need it. what is the reason u want more oil in there when u dont need it?

My lsj takes 6qt. why are you guys saying 6.5qt? Every book we used at work says 6qt. and my dipstick is full on the spot.
