LNF Trans Failure
LNF Trans Failure
We went to the track to run my 08 SS/T on the ZZP S252 turbo swap. We started out on 100% street settings, so low boost in 1st, medium in 2nd, and full in 3rd. Ryan was running the car. With a soft 2.0 sixty foot time, he put down an 11.82 at 127 on 93 octane. For the 2nd pass, we turned it up in 1st and 2nd and he dropped over 4 tenths to the 550' interval. This would have been an 11.3 pass. Unfortunately he missed 3rd, so he got back in line. As some of you know, US131 just resurfaced their track, and it was hooking great. We decided to launch on anti-lag and shoot for a 1.6 sixty foot and an 11.2 pass, but my differential had other ideas-

What started as a simple diff failure destroyed well over $1000 worth of parts in an instant. The car only moved about 15-20 feet after rolling to a stop.
It looks like it's time to install the ZZP trans we have sitting here.
