LNF Valve Gunk..
I still think running them rich like when that car was trifecta tuned and tuned by James gunks them up faster (more combustion deposits and more oil blowing by as things get dirty and wear) and once dirty you have to pull the mani to clean them well. Mine were clean as could be at 34K miles when I checked them. The other factor is how well seated his rings are and oil type (brand) used.

I'm sure someone has dimensions of the intake port on the head.
^^ It doesnt really matter. By the time you spent all that time and money developing a tool you could have done a kazillion valve cleanings.
Use a lot of duct tape and towels to isolate the port and a vacuum. The blaster will fill the port up soon enough, without a vacuum and you need to do it carefully, It takes about 20 mins total per port so just over an hour. It takes another couple of hours to remove, prep and replace, along with clean up. Four hours if its a first time job. GM cleaner helps for touch up. New gasket and valve helps. Eliminating the valve and running all the blowby ports through the Mann Hummel seperator works great for me. Just costs more time and money to do it.

Labor plus materials. You have to get equipment specifically for it and you have a mess to clean up after, thats not included in John's 4h. And John has it down since he's done so many, most shops would take closer to 5-6h due to infrequent blastings.
service tools count for a lot and it takes a ton of clean up afterwards. Duct tape and laundry for the towels I use lol . I am not trying to justify the price, it is what it is, but as eCaulk points out, it all adds up. Tax in Canada is 13 % pretty much
If you don't have the ability to walnut blast easy, then by all means get the cleaner and soak the valves overnight. I bought a set of picks and a gun cleaning kit with all kinds of brushes and pads. Worked pretty well.
Is this the top end cleaner that everyone is using??

Unfortunately we do not have harbor freight in Canada.

A lot of people like both.
Don't use on open valves obviously.
