I think im gonna do this, i dont like the way the oil feed is either. Especially with an external dump, it touches the dump tube.

Yes this is a common issue to solve it i recommend a longer oil hose. My ceramic coated pcs helped but didn't solve it for me. Also I have some heat shielding I use that I can post a pic later that works very well and is cheap.
Finally got around to pulling off the oil line. There was no visual damage on the outside but I could bend it very easily in one spot close to the turbo. See picture below. Compared to how hard it is to bend the hose in other spots, my guess is this is where the hose inside the braid failed. I imagine with full oil pressure oil would squirt out quite freely through the braided hose.

I did you one better and dremeled off the braid. Hose was totally cooked and pulverized in the middle. I think this is definitely a design flaw. Anyone?

Yeah looks like what happens to all the stock wire protectors in our cars. To much heat and it crumbled.

I recommend that everyone with a ZFR consider replacing their turbo oil feed lines with something better like Omiotek has described. This hose will end up costing me 3 grand minimum

Nah I don't daily the car right now but at some point I might start to. Well that's not bad to be honest so it just changing the wrap to not let it heat up. For some reason I was thinking of having to change the pipe
