Since I can't really get any e85 where I live, however I can get these. Their top blend is the 116 octane unleaded. I was just wondering if the 114 or 116 has the same potential as the e85? What you veteran tuners think?

The GM Stage 3's high octane mode uses 100 octane because higher octane fuels (greater than 100 octane) produce exhaust gas temperatures that were too high for extended runs like would be seen in road racing. For drag racing, you may be able to get away with running the higher octane fuels for short bursts.

I think one concern of running too high of octane rating fuel is that it can burn hot enough to cause damage to some catalytic converters.

E85 outperforms race gas on the LNF. Of course you need the fuel system to support it, as you know.

If only they had e85 around here. I guess I could buy some drums of it.
