Same here. I'll run it like this for alittle bit until I get a new clutch installed and then head back to the dyno with a 5 or 6gph.

WAY too big guys. I went back and forth between a 3gph and a 5, ended up with the 3 and it's been perfect for months.

BTW, be careful with those boost levels over 25, you're asking for trouble.

Yeah, I've been meaning to ease up on my max boost levels but haven't had time to dial everything in. Work has been crazy. I'll peak 25, sometimes 26 psi. Gonna try and smooth that off to 24.

I was about to order my 5gph nozzle... you're saying 3 is plenty?

Went back to my stock file with 3 bar MAP numbers plugged in and it certainly will boost higher, Hello Infiniboost! lol. Working on the curves to get it down to 25 lbs in the 3500 rpm range. Nice to have my stock VIN back in the ECU with Vince's help also, long story after ECU bastardination over the last 2 years.

5 gpm seems ok at 31.5 VE lb/min here.
(Stock MAF freq & inj constant with my Frankenstein intake on 66% E)
No real IAT2 drop on 50% meth, but no climbing in long hard 4th gear pulls either. Fuel trims at WOT hardly affected.

I'm gonna go the easy/lazy route and dumb down my DAL's for boost levels to peak at 24 instead of 25-26.

I'm ordering the 5gph nozzle and I need another check valve, too. The previous-previous owner seems to have removed the quick fitting attachment from the inlet side of the check valve to make it screw onto the pump outlet... which is NOT where it's suppose to go.

Tom, Your car has it's identity back? Yay!

I included one male and one female quick disc fitting in your care package, hopefully it'll work. Maybe you will get it today. It mailed Mon afternoon.

You are reminding me why I don't try and save a few bux on used equipment.

The VIN got hosed by me when I changed it to an'09 VIN to load the TF layer file last fall when all he had was an '09 base file. I figured I'd be able to change it back anytime but once HPT saw the VIN/OS mismatch I was dead in the water. Could have done it with a TechII, but my buddy passed away that owned my local dealership and the family sold it. Rather than playing Russian roulette with another dealer, I found a spare ECU, sent mine to Vince and Presto! Voila! it's mine again.

So I'm thinking about getting a progressive Meth kit for the BNR 2871 after reading this thread and then reading some great stuff about it online.

I don't have E85 readily available in my area without driving farther then I want, so running E blend, etc., is not really an option.

My only concern is I have a MAF relocate, thus I would need to run the nozzle after the MAF and right before the TB? Suggestion for a kit for my application?

Also I'm not sure on what nozzle size I would need? I know at least a 5 if thats what stock K04 people are running.

I've heard you can run the walmart winter windshield de-icer (blue)?

Progressive is a good choice.

Place the nozzle after the MAF. No ifs ands or buts.

The gph nozzle depends on boost. I was told by Devils Own and AIS that for boost levels up to 25psi to use a 5gph nozzle.

Just my .02 cents.

I'm at 26/27psi on 93 octane, but on the BNR GT2871

There is a calculator that Devils Own uses to get the right nozzle match... for a 7000RPM redline at 27psi on the 2.0L ecotech, it's a 5.94gph nozzle... I'd say 7gph to be safe.

Peak brand -20f or Supertech -20*f WWF is 30% methanol. 1 gallon of that + 4 12 oz bottles of Heet yields ~50% if you want it.

Another way to mix it is add 3 12 oz bottles of HEET in a gallon jug, then fill it with the -20* WWF.

Thanks for the great info guys.

Any recommendation on kits?

What are the pros/cons to Devils own kit vs. an AIS kit?

I will probably be looking to buy one in about 2 weeks time and installing it in June.

I like the AIS kits but I used a Devil's Own tank fitting with screen.

I have a 3 gallon Trunk Mount AIS tank I didn't use if you need it. $100 shipped. It's $160 + shipping from AIS.

I've been reading some mixed thoughts on progressive vs. pressure switch.

The main thing is that progressive is not very accurate in delivering injection when in between the boost settings and fluctuating boost up and down in that area, instead of a steady rise in boost pressure?

Mine is a pressure switch set at 10 psi. I run 25-26 psi boost in the midrange. AIS recommends 65% of boost for the turn on point so I'm a bit early. The only time I see greater than 10 psi is when I floor it so I'm fine with the early spray.

Same I don't really go past 10 psi in DD driving unless I'm getting on it.

Heck alot of time when I'm shifiting I only hit 0 -3 psi.

Well from doing a little research I think I'm gonna go with the AEM 1gal progressive kit #30-3000. I like the fact the progressive controller is referenced by boost pressure.

and add a AEM inline filter.

I've found the kits for $350/new.

Update: I'm in luck, my local Advance auto parts stocks Peak -20 WW year round, although I read the Walmart brand Supertech -20 is 40% Meth, so I will probably ****** me up some this next winter. Less bottles of HEET to add.

Well I asked devils own based on there calculator what nozzle size to run.

"D05 nozzle and tweak with the controller or turn to 150psi."

I'm also sticking the nozzle in my intake manifold, after the throttle body since I have a MAF relocate.
The TB sits on a raised section of the manifold, I plan on tapping that area. I'll probably have a 1/8 npt female bung welded in.

I've also decided on the Devils Own DVC-30
