NLS and mods
I am Gm stage 1 with only injen charge piping and a k&n drop in filter. I ordered a hahn catted downpipe but it is not at my door yet. Hmm I did a nls 2nd to 3rd and 3rd to 4th on the way down and did it up just after 6100rpm and it went fine. No pop though. I think I'll pop again when the down pipe is put in, I bet I blew my cats out a while ago
ahah

If you shift fast enough, it will not make a pop's at least on the stock exhaust since there will be less fuel being wasted needing to be burned... if you do it slow... more fuel more pops
I went out and did one finally,
did a 2 to 3
shifted faster.....but my RPM's were lower maybe 5800
it grabbed hard into 3rd, and popped once....
mus thave been my slow shifting in my OP
thanks for the opinions and stuff guys

Darryl, when you NLS on the 401 did you go right to 6500RPMish....or were you closer to 6000? I never ever let mine hit redline because if you miss it by that split second you're into rev limiter and NOT NLS and the tach lags a bit. At 5800 it sounds like it did what it was supposed to. Stock I would do it about 5800/6000RPM and it worked every time, with the GMS1 I'm pushing closer to 6200 or so. Mind you, when you did it beside my window on the 401 it didn't sound like a misire, that was fine. The 5 or so pops was definitely rev limiter and not NLS however.
He did one clean beside my window on the highway at 11pm, the only other noise besides us two making racket with our cars was the occasional truck, I guarantee his shift the first time (not his 5 pops one) was not too low

lol
soooo good one beside you, then I did a bad one....last one was right.
The whole point of this thread was to see if anything was supposed to change when I changed the DP.
From everything that I have learned is nothing changes, its good,
And Perma, the change I did beside you was where the old rev limit was.
I used to hit redline.....when I was going to NLS......it pissed me off, but I keep forgetting I have an extra 300rpm now, it works out perfect....when I see the needle hit 6,000 I switch it up.

I already tried to tell how bad of a driver I was.
Anyways, yes I just said I used to hit the limiter on stock tune, now that its 6500 Im good.
It easier to drive now, cept that pesky 2nd gear lets loose all the time
damn conti's
