Had fun on 75 today homie. the car hauls ass...thats about all I can say. The turbo spools loudly and the power keeps you planted in the seat.

Bryan, what do you mean? Your intake wouldnt cause you to run rich. I bet the problem is the conservative tune they gave you...when you asked for a conservative tune, it sounds like thats exactly what they gave you. Thats boo man, did you send the tool back to them yet? if not I would ask for a more aggressive tune. Maybe they gave you too much fuel and not enough timing...because I bet that the problem is in the tune.

yea i doubt they would give him a tune that only increased his WHP about 8 over stock. Something is wrong with the car or the dyno.

I ride in this dudes car everyday almost...there is nothing wrong with his car or the dyno. Ask bryan, he just got done talking with trifecta... the problem was the tune they gave him...too much fuel and not enough timing....like I said.... The increased boost explains the the major increase in torque, and the richness of the a/f mix and the probable lack of an advance in timing explains the low hp numbers....

so if he claims that his car was FAST after the tune then i guess he though 8whp over stock was a big increase? wow...i guess he paid 300 for an 8whp increase lol.

I think pretty much what we both felt through our butt dyno's was the increase in the torque, not so much the hp...dont worry though trifecta is hooking him up with a retune....thank god he didnt ship their tool back yet because otherwise they may have told him tuff luck.

contacted my tuner.....he emailed me this after the retune and data logging

This looks great, we leaned the mixture out a bit and added some more timing which it seemed to like. We’re starting to see a touch of spark knock occasionally which means we have a nice aggressive tune but that’s as far as we can go.

I compared the air flow numbers from your datalogs to other cars that I datalogged in the past, that made 300+ WHP, your numbers are right there (in some cases beyond) so I’m thinking the dyno might not have been calibrated properly or something.

dynos reading incorrect numbers by 52+whp? I call flawed tune. I'm not a genious but thats my guess.

His A/F was in the 10s. I saw it withmy own eyes. Vince apparently has fixed the issue now. I believe the issue had to be his intake because the tune is commanding an A/F of 12.4-11.8. He was way richer than that!!!! Same dyno I had my car tuned on.

He ran 13.6 at 105 which is pretty good seeing how little HP it was making. .
I wonder what I can run. My car made almost 80 whp more on the same dyno.

We have a winner. The richness explains the lack of power. The intake was causing the MAF signal to be skewed which caused the A/F to be so much richer than commanded. It is apparently fixed now. Even I was like WTF when I saw the dyno sheet. The A/F. I had to see the A/F before I understood what was going on.

That dyno reads very accurately. If the A/F is messed up of course the car is not going to make good power. Does not matter how much air it is injesting if the A/F is pig rich!!!! I had my tuning performed on that dyno and the A/F reads dead on to what it was commanded to. Stop blaming the dynos. This is the second or third time I have heard you say that.

I just rode in the car and I would agree it feels a lot better up top now, but like bryan said, I would get it on the dyno again asap to see what the hp numbers are and what his a/f ratio is. And a good a/f gauge would be a nice upgrade to have in the future.

dyno tuning can get expensive quickly
