5: soon as the last yellow light hit you throw the e-brake down

Since your clutch is all ready grabbing your car takes off and you just let go of the clutch its very simple

It takes all the tension off your axles... but it does hurt your clutch a little

Try it in a parking lot or something... Believe me it works man

Thank you very much!

I'm going to try that when I got to the strip...

Your clutch will not like you after doing the e-brake method lol. The 'perfect launch' has to be custom tailored to each individual traction surface, there is no one size fits all.

awsome info man, can't wait till i'm past 800km so i can try this. In my current(forsale) car that is being replaced with the cobalt i would usually pop the throttle up to approx 4k-6k for launch and then jab the throttle thru 1st gear depending on wheel spin. I can't wait to try this on the cobalt, i'm totally down for AWD like launching

Wow I feel bad for all of these clutches... yes it will work, yes it helps take the strain off of the axles, yes it will kill your clutch and warp your flywheel. Unless you go out and physically practice launching then you will never get it.

The way I launch is the same as I did with all my all wheel drive cars. 3500 - 4000 let out the clutch to where it wants to start grabbing but you dont move. In one smooth motion let out the clutch while the gas pedal is on the way to the floor. There usually is some spin but no hop at all. I haven't been to the track with this car but I can tell you that with my Talons I would cut a consistant 1.6x 60' on drag radials.

Have fun, go break something haha

So basically what people would do in automatics. Hold the brake and the gas and just let out the brake. Only now there's just a little more hand/foot work in it.

would seem difficult to do...
its all about time anyway...and to have to release ebrake and then start shifting all as fast as you...
would seemingly only add more to your reaction/launch time..imo

but with practice any thing is possible!...
