Performance With intake...

After installing my HAHN intake my car seems to be sitting around 900-950(normally right at or a little ovee 1k) rpms and bogs out pretty low when i first start it up. is there anything i can do to stop this besides a tune? gap my plugs a little more?

tune is about it i think man. besides, the computer, without a tune, is supposed to compensate for things like that.

I know this is probably the first thing you checked, but did you make sure you did not install the MAF backwards? That would cause boging and idle issues. I have a Dejon SRI with an AEM filter and I have no boging or idle issues in fact I think it pulls a little harder now.

^that may have something to do with the larger amount of cold air combined with the cold engine. I know the SC'd cars have problems compensating for the change in cold air density. that might be your issue, but, i am not an expert.

haha, that sucks, but hey, mistakes happen.

Yeah In-n-Out is amazing, and nobody understands how it can be so good until they try it.

I just installed my Hahn intake yesterday and im pretty sure they make the bolt holes on the MAF in a way so you can't put it in backwards. I almost did it but the holes didnt line up.

I don't have any boggin issues and my idle is normal and i haven't tuned it yet.

If it can be installed upside down, than someone please show me a pic of how it is supposed to be installed. Either way, mine idles rough at start up, but I believe the computer is compensating for the extra air flow and reworking itself. Either way, I let my car run for about 10 minutes before I drive it and havent had a single issue yet.

I think everybody's SS/TC idles rough at cold start up. Mine does & it's practically stock!

The RPM's flucuate up & down a few times.... Is this what your experiencing?

When the car starts up in the morning it goes into cat warm up mode and injects fuel on the compression stroke as well so it runs kindy funny to begin with so adding the intake with will have some effect on A/F ratio will causeing it to become either a little leaner or richer than stock. Once you get it tuned the problem will probably go away. How does it run once it is warmed up? Yes, you would have thrown a CEL before the 500 mi mark. I though you just installed the intake like say 50 mi ago.

I noticed with my Hahn intake the throttle hangs a lil n thakes a bit longer to drop to idle rpm rather then drop fairly quick like it did when stock

I dont got and booging issues or anything of that kind
