Even resleeving with stock sleeves can cause things to crack. This has already happened to a few members on here. It requires some exact and knowledgeable machining.

So looking at these pictures, I assume you dropped the motor with the sub frame, removed the crash bar (and the other jazz there) and slid the motor out the front sideways while lifting the front end up slightly?

The crash bar is still installed in both pictures, but it looks like the rest of what you said is right. out the bottom then forward.

If the head is still on then you need to remove the crash bar. With the head off you can get enough clearance without removing it.

Not sure. If I could get my lights sold and what not maybe. I don't know if I should just wait and do it over the winter and do the 2.1 and electric water pump and all the goodies.

a cracked block becomes a ecotec paper weight.. or sell it to the junk metal shop - i think aluminum is now at 70 or 80 cent a lb.. the place near me is at 76 cent a lb..

Pulled the motor apart. Crank, pistons, and rods are all good, no wear on the the bearings at all. Might end up having to sell the pistons to get 86.5's since zzp uses the 86.5's on the lsj's.

You should really give it some time when breaking in an engine. How ever I drove the car easy for about 50 miles. started giving it some mid throttle pulls to like 4500 and let off a few times, drive the car for awhile then do it again at a higer rpm. One of the big things are heat cycles with the motor to get everything seated good. About 500 miles is what I have always heard.

Before it was simple lol. Stock motor, k1 rods, wiseco pistons, zzp cams, supertech springs, and zzp balance shafts. Now I just have to think if I want to get it done on a budget or wait through the winter to go a little more indepth.
