Testing AEM's New Intake for SS/TC
Very well. No tuning needed to fix the fuel trims as they look like stock but the surge this intake causes has to be tuned out. It has not had any surge issues since I installed in on the car and changed the cat heating idle tables.
Just a quick stab in 2nd at 40. I almost hit the old geezer in front of me because he was going 30 mph in a 45 LOL.
LOL. I need to wash my car. Nasty wet and hot weather here right now.

Just curious, is there any problems with this intake sucking water when its raining out? I had an Injen intake before and even with a Hydro-Shield it would still suck tons of water when raining.
Something similar happened with the Mazdaspeed 3 guys. The first gen AEM didn't have a straightener and the later gen did, so if you just really want to talk to somebody about that, I'd ask one of those guys.
I'm not getting rid of my HAHN dude, after that boost leak fixed from the dealer. My investment is a DP and tint my windows because of the hot weather in our area. Holy cow... it was like 104F yesterday working on cars at Gestapo's house.

Yes. That is how I got my new one.

Cold air intakes have a tendency to get wet if it's a daily driver. In honesty, I have only seen a few degrees IAT2 temps difference between the SRI or CAI and the K&N has a heat shield to help that a bit.
SRI's are easier to maintain also. Personal preferences.

The SRI heat shield does work pretty well when the cars in motion. If the car sits still after a hard run however, you will see the IAT1 go up to like 145 degrees, lol. but at IAT2 its probably only 96.
Well I'm glad we're finally getting decent intakes. The price of the AEM is very tempting compared to the K&N. But I also like the quality of K&N products and am concerned about the CAI soaked or something.

okay so far so good, box looks nice... box is also undamaged.

okay intake and heatshield looks pretty fancy... nice nice. Even came with spiffy directions!

That looks F'in a amazing except for the stick on Typhoon sticker thats peeling away right out of the box, lmao.

but wait.... there's something off about the end that meets up with the turbo...!?

WTFWTFWTF OMFG!!!!!HOLY ShIAT!

How the **** did K&N let this ****-up slip by!?!?!?!
FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU UUUUUU!!!!!11!11!!1!

it's okay I fixed it

K&N should probably hire me
