I mentioned ram air on another thread a while ago and got laughed off the forum. I would still like to see somebody produce an honest to God ram air system. Be it behind the grill, in the fender well or a complete functioning ram air hood. I prefer the hood option. Maybe something like the "shaker hood" from back in the day of the early Trans Ams. THAT comment WAS meant to be a joke. How about a cowl air induction system? Like the optional system used on the original Z28 in 67. NASCAR uses it too. The bottom of a windshield is almost always a high pressure area at speed. ALMOST depends on the height and rake of the windshield. Hmmm! That just might work.

I also like this hood. A transition from the hood to the stock, or custom, air box is all that would be needed. It also has heat extracters. Kill 2 birds with one stone.

Well, I like it. I have for some time. It's functional in all the good ways, unlike anything else offered. It's fuctional, has a scoop shape very similar to a NACA Duct (very good thing), baffled to keep water from being injested, has heat extractors in the correct useful places, won't drop water on the engine, and for CF fans a CF copy of it is offered by a Canadian company.

On topic, Vararam made THE best CIAs for the GTO crowed. I cannot wait to see what they make for the cobalts. Definitely what I will wait for.

Subscribed. Brother has a vararam intake on his '01 Z06..it works great at speed. A little hard to tune for but it won't make a HUGE difference if there's a fan in front of the car.
I like this hood...it's simple, not flashy or rice, and could be incorporated to work with an intake..
