Exclamation Weird Idling on startup

I was looking around for another post relating to this, so if this is repost my apologies, anyways....starting 2 months ago when i start my car up my idle goes up to 14-1600 and my boost goes up to vac 10-5, it never hits boost but the boost gauge revs up for like a couple minutes then everything goes to normal, I can hear alot of air when it does this, and within the last month i started running rich, and it's starting to affect my gas mileage, dunno if they're connected or not, but anyways, if anyone has any ideas and can help me out that would be awesome.

it is the cat warming up, its just loader cause the intake makes it loader. it runs rich and sucks in air it need to warm up the cat to get it to running temp. alot of new cars do this now. so do some newer semi trucks. Its called cat warm up mode. its nothing to worry about. if u dont like the sound wait a few seconds and give it a little gas and let go and ur idle will go to 800ish and the sound will stop, but the boosting to -5 is normal, when it drops to -20 ur car is finished warming up the cat and it will drive normally. if u try to give er while in warm up mode, u might get a major missfire like some of us have or ur car will be very sluggish and powerless until its finished.

no the dejon spring doesnt stop the bov from fluttering, if anything it makes it surge cause it doesnt open all the way with the stiffer spring. but its supposed to flutter to let the air out as it dumps less fuel into to cat, its like u having ur foot on the gas and letting go, same thing will happen.

no worries, my car does the same thing with the bolt ons. as for you running richer, your car is finally officially broken in. mine did the same thing around 10k miles.

You have to tune that out it is mld compressor surge caused by it running either too lean or too rich. It has to be tuned out me recalibrating the MAF.

Has anyone noticed that at around 100-115 degrees for the coolant. mine kinda starts to feel like it is missing, though this has always happened even before it is tuned, after getting the interceptor gauge i saw how it puts the A/F rich when warming up first thing then goes down

Mine does that too. I did it stock as well. Man I wish I could do away with that fueling and timing it does on warmup -16* of timing and a rich mixture make this motor run like crap when cold.

amen to that... it blows... i used to have to do this with my S4 too, any turbo car will run like absolute **** if you don't let it warm **** up. My audi would be so bad that if i drove it too quick it would just misfire and the car would jerk like crazy lol

you guys do realize that getting into boost on a cold motor is about the absolute worst thing you can do. Talk to me in 40k miles with your oil burning issue, wait for the car do idle down. then leave, no boost until operating temp.... Dont dryfuck your car
