Just wanted to see since I used to get things from BTF if anyone knew where he went. NY guys, you know??? He made a k04+ for me one time and I really liked his work. Not to mention the fact that he was just an awesome guy all around. Anyways, I'm wanting to get a K04+ again but when I go to his website I can't access the store. Anyone? Let me know. Thanks

 

how much did you get the K04+ for? what was the outcome of the swap? and what psi did you push?

 

I got the K04+ for 1200 or so. I kept my old turbo though. As for the sending back your old turbo its only $800. I was pushing 22 PSI on stock turbo, never got to use the k04+. I sold it on here to a user, regret it a lot.

 

Try over on lnfperformance. I think I read there that he was focusing on industrial machining to get through the slump.

 

Performance Autowerks also makes a K04+

 

sooo whats all this talk of the k04+? lol. this like a direct bolt on turbo thats better than stock or something?

I just recently went with the KO4+ from autowerks... Fast shipment, well made piece... Still have to tune for it (hopefully in a week or so?) - have to clean up a few things first

I tried getting in touch with BTF, but he isn't responding to e-mails...

 

Have you mounted your PA K04+ yet? Just curious if that one has surging issues like some of the BTF ones. Thanks!

^ I tuned Hiltu's car in person over the weekend and man does it pull like a champ up top with the K04+! We're working on a dyno day very soon, Im curious to see what kind of power it makes now

 

Hi!!! How have you been? I jump on the forums every once in a while to see what is going on with new development and just to talk with old friends. I'm driving a 1.8t GLI VW. It's no where close to the SS or fun to mod but I work with what I got. Currently I'm doing something different than anything done before and taking the KO4 in an CSS and slapping that puppy in the GLI. The current k04 upgrades that VW makes only flow from 24-27lbs a min. Hmmmm, well these turbos are made by borg warner and stock flow about 34-36lbs so why not. Just would need to model a custom manifold from the one in a CSS and downpipe. Some tuning, bigger displacement and I should make some significant gains.
