Correct...but if he is doing intake charge piping and intercooler I'd assume he is tuned...

OOOORRRRR he could get the non existant stage kit as it doesn't have the learn down feature.

It will exist one day, in a galaxy far far away.

Hopefully it'll be a boot in the rear for them to finish it.

I know some people will be GM kit or nothing, but there are many that may lose their patience. That's a lot of lost income for GM. C'mon GM! Good business is staring you in the face and you aren't doing anything about it!

The kit it self would work but GM has not released a flash for the Cobalt and with out the flash it won't work.

Normally I'd say read the thread, but since we are quad-digit posts now I'll help.

The tunes are model exclusive...meaning each model has a tune made precisely for that model. Also, the reason the cobalt kit got held back is because it was determined that the intake tube attaching to the turbo was not sufficient for the increased power, so a re-designed one is in the works.

The upgrades are model specific for a couple reasons. We don't need NLS or LC added. We already have them. To get the flash done by the dealer, and it HAS to be done by a dealer, there are three codes needed to plug into the Tech2 to unlock the download directly from GM somewhere in East Wallaby?? A code found in the package containing the upgrade hard parts found on page one of the installation instructions, the serial number of the kit found on the outside of the box and the calibration part number which I believe will be 12625955. I believe the dealer must include his dealer number also. GM wants to keep a handle on WHOSE TUNE is in the ECU.
