Stock OS will not work with the upgraded sensors. . That is why they reflash the computer not just for power gains but so the ECM will work with the expanded range sensors.

Ditch the stock ECU, ditch the stock sensors, full blown stand alone computer and you wont have anything to worry about

Money, Money, Money. Stock turbo wont stand for much more than 23psi up top. It can G out and come apart.

Owe You Guys Something...

Well it's almost 5 o'clock and I still haven't received word on what I'm "officially" allowed to say. So that being said I have no official update for you guys.

HOWEVER, if I were I betting man, I would say that this guy, \/ \/ \/, has the right idea.

Hey Alpha - since I have the right idea, did I win anything?

HAHAHAHA. I'll take a kit so I can "test it out".

I'll be the first guy with track numbers, that's for sure. Don't worry about a dyno queen - I'll get real world numbers.....where they matter.

If it's anything past May 1st or 2000 miles whichever comes 1st...HPTuners gets my money. Sorry GM you're dealing with a lot of impatient customers. TIME IS MONEY!

yah this is a bonehead move on there part.

they make it and release it for the niche cars (solstice, hhr, sky) but the group that will actually be providing the most money they leave out and leave hanging.

**** I would have been just fine with the same damn thing that they gave the other LNF's

July is a pretty depressing time frame. There had better be some nice performance gains to justify a four month wait.

Four months is nothing. I waited a year and 3 months for the COBB StreetTuner , it was well worth the wait. I would hate for them to rush something and miss little stuff that could cause problems. Just enjoy the car right now.

I'd rather it come out late, than not at all.

That being said, I've been out of the country on a business trip since 4/9, and haven't driven the SS since 4/8.

I am having SERIOUS SS withdrawal!

DAMN! I can't wait to get home tomorrow!

Its really no different than what other companies do.

Toyota did the same thing with the TRD supercharger for the Scion tC with the promise of it will be ready in 3-4 months. When it did come out almost 1.5 years later people were breaking them almost as fast as they could install them. It was obvious they cut many many corners. They ended up redesigning it 2 more times over the next 2ish years before getting something to stay together for more than 20k miles.

I'd rather they take the time to do it right then release junk several times. Having to get it fixed repeatedly with the promise of the "redesign" fixed the issue just pisses people off worse.
